The Pandemic Inspires Long-Lasting Changes as a recent online article in Builderonline.com recently brought up an interesting aspect of how the Pandemic has inspired changes in behavior that may be long-lasting.
The major change is that we are “disinfecting things more”. 80% of respondents to their survey thought this would be a long-lasting behavior.
Other changes that could be long-lasting and not surprising are upgrades to technology at home, especially when more are working from home; reorganizing rooms for more storage; adding exercise areas; adding office space as well as utilizing more outdoor space for recreation.
With more at-home activities because of the Pandemic and many are increasing their culinary skills while in quarantine, kitchens are also used more than ever. Will this eventually increase kitchen or counter size? Perhaps, but at least additional storage space for the fun cooking gadgets like Stand Mixers and Food processors.
Even though vaccines are out, it may be some time before we are “back to normal” and our most sacred place is our homes. So are you in the home you want to spend most of your time in? Are your local surrounding conducive to social distancing?
